Sensory-Friendly Mornings

We have partnered with the Mid-Michigan Autism Association to bring sensory-friendly shopping hours to Capital City Market. On the second Saturday of each month from 8:30am-10am, we are creating a sensory-friendly environment by dimming the lights and turning off in-store music.

The store will still be open to the general public, however we have selected the hours based on times when our in-store traffic is typically less busy. These special hours are designed for our customers experiencing (but not limited to) PTSD, sensory processing disorder, anxiety, migraines, dementia, autism, epilepsy.

Special thanks to the Mid-Michigan Autism Association for their partnership, and in assisting us with offering a more inclusive shopping experience for our customers.

 ABLE EYES VIRTUAL TOUR

The mission of Able Eyes is to provide visual, state of the art experiences/teaching tools to children and adults with disabilities. Capital City Market is a proud partner of Able Eyes, allowing accessibility for people of all abilities by offering virtual walk-through tours, making them “Able Eyes Accessible.”
